LPS is recommended for fat digestion and metabolism as well as the health of the cardiovascular system.
Health Benefits: LPS was formulated to address the needs of patients with heart problems, high blood pressure, plaque build up in the arteries, obesity, or indigestion. LPS aids in the proper digestions of fats, carbohydrates, protein and dairy products. This formulation contains the highest amount of lipase found in any product.
The basic mechanism for which lipase was created was for breaking down fats. When added to your meal as a supplement it is able to do this in the digestive tract. By supplementing with lipase during digestion, stress is taken off of the gallbladder, liver, and pancreas. When taken between meals, it may be stored in the liver and called upon as needed and LPS has the highest content of lipase to aid in the digestion of fat.The pancreas produces about a liter and a half of digestive juices per day with an array of enzymes (protease, amylase, cellulase, lactase and lipase). With advancing age the body produces smaller amounts of digestive juice, about 13% less per decade of life. When fat is blocked in the diet, it is not contributing to satisfying the body's need for it. Under-nutrition occurs in about half of the patients with chronic heart failure, and fats are a major source of fuel for the heart muscle. The use of lipase has been suggested to improve fat absorption. It was not until 1997 that researchers found that lipase also can help to control LDL cholesterol and is helpful in stubborn cases of high triglycerides.
